The long and winding journey...

It's happened... as has everything else.

Yes, my blog is stale. I haven't posted in almost a week. I've barely slept for almost a week. But at least I've been playing Diablo II for almost a week. And some other thoughts:

1. I've gotten a Sun number already! (0922-42266800) Then again, so has Ellen, Joyce Iglesia, Grace, JP, Guchi, Francis Lim, Andrew Lim, and a host of others. Switch to Sun na rin! (Yikes, Taglish!)

2. We ARE going to Cebu this weekend. (Yey!) That means some R&R for me. I really need it right now. Then again, almost all of us in school do.

3. Since we are going to Cebu this weekend, we went to the cemeteries last weekend. Now, I'm not one for going to cemeteries (and seeing all sorts of tombs and burial spots). It's nice to remember your dead, but the idea of death really creeps me out. It's one of my really big fears, death. Maybe I'm just not ready for it yet. Haaaaay....

4. So far, DBAPDEV has been merciless. We have requirements every week, an evening lab session weekly, and tons of programming to boot. I even heard we have another assignment for next week! The profs don't seem to care it's All Saints' Day weekend, when people usually use the time to reflect and rest. It seems so absurd to me (who's used to no assignments this time of year). It just plain sucks.

5. Speaking of All Saints' Day, All Souls' Day (November 2) will be a working holiday. Malacanang said that was so that the laborers could get the wage they so badly need, or something to that effect. What?! It makes no sense to me. The workers (like us students) are tired enough as it is. The Palace seem to love 3-day weekends, but abhor 4-day ones. Oh well...

6. Speaking of the government, they're pretty much in a mess right now. Despite all of their talk, they've been really trying to calm down the fracas over corruption in the military. The scale of the corruption at the top has been sickening. Honestly, I haven't seen anything this huge this side of Erap and his mansions. Miriam has picked the right side this time, let's hope she actually has the conviction to stick to it this time. Those Oakwood guys, sincere or not, were serious with what they were saying back then. Darn. If only we had listened.

7. On a lighter note, the Formula 1 season is done. JPM won in Brazil from Kimi (Did he psyche the Iceman out?), while the Ferraris were only 3rd and 7th. No matter. The race didn't matter to the Scuderia anymore anyway. What DOES matter is Melbourne 2005, and that's what have been focusing on for months now. Who'd bet against Schumi next year?

Also, the Ferrari-Lego 1:10 scale has come out. It's one of many Ferrari-Lego models released a month ago or so that cater to various ages. So far though, that model looks the hottest. It costs a bit over P4,000. But who cares??? I want one!!!!!

Phew! That's a lot! That's what I get when I'm too busy with DBAPDEV and Diablo II. Oh well. I'll see if I can post again before I leave for Cebu for the weekend. That should be a lot of fun. :p

Forza!

Talk.

There was this odd song I heard a couple of days ago. It had an even weirder title.

"Talk"

Hmmm... Then when I heard the chorus, it had an eerily real ring to it.

Talk, all I do is talk
Can I say the words that my heart is sure of?
Talk, I'm up to here with talk
Every sound you've heard held me back from your arms...

I have an attachment to this song that I just can't explain. (Here I am with my melodramatic self again.)

This is probably because of school. I mean, some of my friends are saying I've turned Gox into my bed! I'm just trying to get sleep whenever I can. It's worth its weight in gold right now.

At least I'm going to watch a movie tonight. My dad got us invites to the Cellular premiere at Galleria... tonight! Hahaha! My first time to watch a premiere and I'm excited! I hope it's a good movie though.

Speaking of cellular, I should be getting a Sun SIM soon. It's a duty! (OK, malabo... Hehe.) O well...

That's my life right now. Boring... but happy? Well, sorta, I guess.

Soundtrip!

Yep, that's what I've been up to right now... when I'm awake, at least. School can really take it out of you, but it's OK.

I've been thinking though... Imagine if our lives were musicals. What would it be like? We'd be picking all sorts of songs. Sure, we might look a bit exaggerated, but who cares??? (OK, I'm not making sense again. :p)

It reminds me of the time I first sang in front of a crowd. I remember the first line went something like, "Sing, sing a song..." (What's the title of that song again? Anyone?) Anyway, everyone was saying, "Oh, you sing well." and "You did so well!" Nowadays, I sing and people ask, "You want it to rain?" Dang.

But it feels nice to sing or to listen to music. It just makes me feel better. I don't know why; it just does. Hehe... Oh well.

Gotta go! I'll just drift off to sleep... :D

Forza!

P.S. Let's go Yankees, let's go! Who's your daddy??? (Hahaha! I should sleep now. :p)

Just me and my rants...

It's sad. My social life is about to go out the window (most of it, anyway). So I have to enjoy it now. That's why I'm going back to the classic games (like Diablo II! Anyone who can lend me a copy???) Anyway, all this schoolwork makes me wonder:

Why can't school be fun?

Think about it. Has there ever been a school in existence that has fun activities everyday? And don't even tell me preschool. Let's face it. School is an awful lot like work. Do what you need to go, and you get a reward. Happiness? That's up to you. But there's usually not a lot of reasons to be 'appy. :D

Oh well. Must be the sleepiness getting to me. Long day at school tomorrow for me, so I gotta hit the sack.

Forza!

Much ado about things...

Darn, I have to be careful. This blog could become stale if I'm not careful. STALE!!! Oh well... The past 3 days have been pretty much crap, honestly. I'm getting tired of this. So why did I choose CS-IT again? Darn.

I have a new friend now. ZUMA!!! I've pretty much become an addict since finding the crack. Come to think of it, I'm starting to play PC games again. That usually means I need to have fun because I can't find it somewhere else. That says a lot about school. Right now, honestly, it's driving me nuts.

Then there's lovelife. The links are starting to come out again. Haaaaaay... should I go out with someone? Maybe it'll help me be happier. It's not that I'm not happy right now, it's just that... something seems to be missing. Or is it just me being stressed? I'm not even sure...

I'm also pretty irritated by this lady I met yesterday. It was just the first time we met her, and she was the company president. She was also the wife of our contact for the DBAPDEV project. First time I saw her, there was something about her that made me think mataray. To make things worse, she was snooping around our interviews. That wasn't any problem in itself, because, hey, she's the big boss. But what really pissed me off was what I found out after we left. After she stopped snooping around, she said in Chinese that we were nothing more than trouble-makers. She backstabbed us! She didn't notice we had a company-mate that WAS Chinese and understood what she said. It's just so... uncalled for. But, hey, she's the big boss. What can we do? She doesn't understand! Err.

I need to stretch my patience. It's the only way I'll survive this term. That's all for now.

Forza!

P.S. All-sports Sunday tomorrow, with F1 at 1:30 and the replay of THAT Game 3 at 4. Yey! Something to cheer about at last. :p

This is the way we were.

Amiel was telling us something over lunch today. He said he managed to see some of the pics of their barkada from last year. For some reason, they seem nothing more than a distant memory to him at best. Who would have thought things would turn out so differently?

Hmmm... Come to think of it, last year to me is also just that, a distant memory. There were the times we would eat as one big group at La Casita (or some nearby place), the time almost all of them were irritated with me (and I had no idea then), the times the barkada ran into... difficulties and arguments, those were all just a year ago. It's amazing to see how fast things can change.

Since the start of this year, I've met a heck of a lot of people (Ellen, Pearl, Kris, Eunice, Kakach, Gino, Val, Rika, Mike, and Ross, just for starters) and I'm much closer now to S19 than I ever thought possible. There are also my other friends in the other blocks and those who are froshies. Yet, there are still those times my mind wanders back to those memories with my original S18 barkada. I'm not so close to them anymore, but we still hang out every now and then.

Maybe that's the way life is. Are we really bound to move from one circle of friends to another? Maybe it's just a way of adjusting in college, to who we're really comfortable with. Or maybe it's just fate. It's a rough answer, but that's all I could think of right now. It probably means I need more sleep! So that's what I'm gonna do... Sleep. :D

Forza!

So far... what the?!

In a nutshell, that's my reaction to the comments so far. I didn't want to expect it, but then again I should've. I'll see which stories I'll tell, and which I won't. Give me some time on this one. :D

Life is like a spin cycle right now. It just keeps spinning with not much changing. Class, class, lunch, play, class again... you get the picture. Not even Rockwell is as... exciting a thought as it used to be (save Initial D, maybe). All this is making me wonder.

Am I losing my enthusiasm? I mean, not counting the Archers and Ferrari, I haven't been excited about much of anything, ESPECIALLY school. It's just... weird, maybe. Maybe it's me being lonely? (Hahaha, that's a good one!) Or just being stressed? After all, I was stressed enough not to be able to write an entry yesterday! Err...

These are the times I wish Breadtalk was next door. (Impulse buy, impulse buy!)

I'm so sleepy. This is a pre-dated entry; I'm writing this at around 4 in the morning! Gotta get some more sleep. :D

Wanna help out?

Well, I could go on ranting about today (2 cancelled appointments and 2 movies... and Breadtalk and Renault!), but let's make today different. I need your suggestions.

Yep, that's right. You see, I want to write something you guys want to read (as long as it's not too intrusive into my private life). So give it a shot, and maybe I can write about it in a future entry. I'm just trying to experiment here.

I wanna hear from you guys! :)

What is happiness?

Today was fun, super! It was all about enjoying yourself and did I!

I was still hyped up by La Salle's win over FEU last night. My dad and I really went through the newspapers and listened to the radio this morning (Mike Enriquez's show, to be exact) to find out what the press had to say.

Anyway, after that, I had to go to my only class, SYANAD1. But our professor decided to put off lecturing for today. (He's a diehard Lasallista too... Yey!) So from there, I slept a bit, then challenged Popoy to billiards. (again!) I played with him and Andrea, and it was really cool. Happiness is defeating Popoy in billiards (but I only did it once). Aww shucks!

Andrea had to leave after an hour, so Popoy and I met up with Anjo. Next thing I knew, we were so bored we ended up deciding to go to G4 to watch a movie. We decided to eat lunch there and commuted to Ayala with Miko, Joey, and two other friends of theirs (they were going to Galleria to watch a movie too).

When we got to G4, we had lunch at Greenwich, then we watched Resident Evil: Apocalypse. It was cool, if a bit creepy. Then we got to Timezone, where we played hoops, air hockey, and Initial D. (They told me I looked weird. I had no idea!) I finally got to use my Honda again, but it was understeering a bit. Anyway, happiness is getting to race. It's just a cooooooooool feeling. Haha! :D

Soon enough, we decided to go back to school for the victory party/Bonfire. I went around with Mitch. When we got to the plaza, there were all lines for all sorts of free food! From pizza and burgers to Coke and sorbetes, everyone wanted them! Happiness is having free food! People also wanted to see the players, who went around signing autographs for pretty much every piece of La Salle kit imaginable.

When they were introduced (after their live interview!), the crowd went wild. From there, there were people singing to stage ("I'd Rather Be Green Than Be Blue" was also sung), and people were just enjoying themselves. It was just like a fiesta! Too bad the actual Bonfire was much, much later that night... and I missed it! Aaugh!!!

Anyway, when things started settling down, I went with Mitch to Starbucks. We just relaxed there in cozier, not-so-noisy atmosphere. We just chatted until I had to leave already. I picked my parents up at Rockwell, then went home.

Phew! Wow! Lotsa happenings today. Tomorrow will also be like this. Since the SPRINT meeting is cancelled, I'm going to Valenzuela again for DBAPDEV. From there, it's on to Rockwell for movies, racing, and Renault. Figure that one out. :)

Animo La Salle!
