Over the moon!

Now, how do I say this...?

WE DID IT!!!!!

DLSU has won the UAAP men's basketball championship. I watched it at the Gox lobby this afternoon IN FULL. (Classes? Who cares?!) My friends there can probably tell you I was going through a rollercoaster of emotions. There was calm, shock, anger, anxiety, hopelessness, and of course, sheer joy!

But then again, everyone watching would have been nervous as no one had a clear advantage almost all game. It was shocking when FEU demolished our 11-point lead late in the 4th and even went ahead at one point. My hands were on my face at that point. I just couldn't bear the possibility of that title slipping from our grasp, just like everyone else.

But when Casio put THAT 3-pointer in, I just felt... overjoyed. I remember the people around me standing up, screaming their hearts out for all it was worth. When FEU couldn't convert next time round, that was it. I stood on top of a table, jumping up and down, punching the air in delight, while those around me were still screaming, hugging one another, letting all their emotions out. It was simply an unbelievable feeling to see our Alma Mater take that crown as our own once again.

Right there, at that very moment, I felt there were no divisions among any of us. There were no blocks, no batches, no colleges, no Tapat and Santugon. There was just one, big, happy Lasallian community.

Although there were other good things that happened today (Two of my classes got called off; I managed to remove the bug from my PC), this one takes the cake... and then some!

As it is, I'm going to the victory party tomorrow night. It's gonna be one heck of a Friday! ;)

ANIMO LA SALLE!
