The long and winding journey...

Journeying... in cars. And other stuff today...

It's Saturday, but I still had to go to school. Nope, I don't have NSTP anymore. Yes, it is for DBAPDEV/DATPROJ.

Our company group decided to go to Valenzuela today to check out the company we had as reference for our project. It's super far, but what can we do? Going there took quite a while too. First, we encountered traffic insanity at Quirino Ave. cor. Osmena Highway because there was this enforcer who didn't let our cars through for 3 whole cycles! He let vehicles from the areas with less traffic go through first. I don't know what he was thinking, but he doesn't deserve his job.

That out of the way, we went on our merry way. But our journey took a bit longer because our driver took a much longer route, driving us into Sta. Mesa and Sto. Domingo first (which is in Quezon City!) before getting us to EDSA, then McArthur Highway. At least the traffic wasn't so bad.

Our next problem was finding the compound itself. Since it was hidden in a side street, we missed it twice and had a stopover in between. After much asking around, we finally found it and got in.

The man who met us in the office was very nice to us. (I really hope that just wasn't because we were referred to him by one of his clients.) He gave us a tour, allowed us to hold interviews, answered questions himself, and even gave us free snacks. At least we got what we needed while not bothering him too much. :D

After that, we had a quick lunch (thanks Pao!) and went back to Manila. It was then just a matter of killing time by playing PC games at UM. From there, it was on to pick my parents up, then Rockwell!

I played Initial D (another stage in the bag!), had dinner at Dencio's with family (yummy sisig!), then watched a movie. My parents bought the tickets, so I didn't argue. The movie was entitled "Saved". It's about this girl facing the normal troubles of life... in a Christian high school. It's a teenybopper movie with a twist, but still a teenybopper film. Anyway, from there, we just bought some stuff at Fully Booked, then we went home.

And that brings me here. All in all, it could have been a better day. But I think tomorrow can make up for it. I have a 4-hour sports block coming up then. (Formula 1 and UAAP Finals) Please let it be good! That's all for now.

Forza!
