The long and winding journey...

Phew!

Nothing really significant (to me, at least) happened today. And yet, I still feel so tired.

Basically, I skipped all but my last class today to be a tour guide to high school seniors (keeeeeeeeeeeeds!!! :D) who will be participating in Brainstorm 2004 tomorrow. Sir Rene Molano, the CCS Freshmen Coordinator, had this as part of an activity day today to entice these smart students to take college in our very own DLSU (preferably in CCS). I was assigned with a partner to Quezon City Science High School.

To be more to the point, we were supposed to be more than tour guides. We were supposed to be their companions for most of the day (when they were outside the ISR). But that duly went out the window. First, we were supposed to accompany them to the room after registration, but the registration was already in front of the room! Next came lunch. But most of us guides were duly dropped after most schools prefered to eat at the fastfood chains outside. So all we were left to do is tour them.

Since there was a lot of dead time, I just slept. I didn't bother going to my classes anymore, since I wouldn't be able to stay for the whole duration anyway. But I needn't have worried. JAVA-01 only had a refresher run today. Yey, the groupings weren't set yet! (We haven't ironed it out yet) At least I can catch up on the refresher run with old partner Miko G. JPRIZAL is what I have no idea about. But the professor is nice enough anyway to tell me if I missed any seatworks or homeworks or what. Besides, I know some of my classmates. So that shouldn't be a problem. As for DBAPDEV, Ms. Tangkeko didn't show up. BUT, Sir Oli did show up, and he gave the details on our first research, due a week from now. Shouldn't be too much of a worry, as he already gave us the sites where we should look. :)

So after they had their lunch (I decided to have mine after the tour), we had to tour them already. My partner was Nina, a 3rd year student. Since neither of us knew each other nor the students very well, we were basically in the dark on what to say and how to act. But nonetheless, we somehow survived and the students liked the tour. We brought them back to the ISR, and out job was done. After that was finally done, I ran into Joyce and went to the lab with her. I wasn't so hungry yet anyway.

She also went with me when I ate lunch (at last! That was 3 PM). We were just chatting and I was eating when Miko, Che, Anjo, and Niki came. I introduced the people, then just chatted. After that, it was basically killing time until FILIPI. The FILIPI prof (still couldn't remember her name!) discussed well, bringing up interesting questions and thoughts. It was a shame though she messed her history up. But no matter, she's a nice prof, and it looks like my minors this term will be smooth sailing (for once).

And then, I had to drop by home#2 (figure it out! ;) ) to kill some time. No Initial D today, because I had no money! I had enough, though, to eat at KFC. I was lining up when I realized I was behind... Tsh! Or was it Tsh? I couldn't exactly greet her, because she had friends with her and I wasn't sure if it was her. (But in hindsight, I realize it probably was her.) So we went my separate ways and ate. I was again thinking of greeting her, but all that ended when my mom picked me up a bit earlier than usual. Eventually, we picked my dad up and we went home. :D

So there! Very long story, no? Then again, I usually do have long stories. O well... Brainstorm 2004 is tomorrow, and I'm gonna watch! At least, in between SYANAD1 and the DBAPDEV meeting. Err... That's all for now. ;)

Forza!

P.S. To those concerned, I was a bit embarrassed by what happened earlier. I'm not mad, just disappointed. You know who you are. :(
