The long and winding journey...

Polly ticks and love hurts.

It's one of those days again... It was outright boring today. I filled the morning up by watching more Formula 1 videos (2002 and 2003), eating lunch in between. It was almost 6 hours worth! :D After that, I take a nap (almost 3 hours worth). When I woke up, I ate merienda while channel-surfing. I stumble onto CNN, which was featuring a survey on US President George W. Bush's popularity abroad.

The survey asked people outside of the US who they would vote if they could in the upcoming US elections in November. Out of the 35 countries polled (including the Philippines), 30 chose Democratic opponent John Kerry over Republican Bush. One of the 5 who picked Bush over Kerry was our very own Philippines. Subsequently, majority of the Filipinos polled said that their image (i.e. perception) of the US improved under Dubya's administration. I'm wondering why we were one of the few that ended up pro-Bush (I myself would prefer Kerry). It would be interesting to find out the backgrounds of those polled, particularly if they come from the government.

Honestly, I think President Bush has messed up on domestic issues and relies too much on his foreign policy (which duly promotes an ugly macho image for America) to stir up his popularity at home. Currently though, there's not a lot of relevant facts being floated on their campaigns. I commented in another blog that the voters need to figure out how much of what Bush and Kerry are saying are hard facts and not spin (opinionated statements that favor one candidate over the other). But for me, if Bush wins again, I'd be most disappointed.

After that report, it was back to boredom, at least till Iron Chef time. The competitors were brilliant in cooking the eel. Yum yum! A true feast for the eyes...

In between commercials, I was keeping an eye on the Friday practice session in Formula 1. After Ferrari duly took a 1-2 in the first session, they only took a 3-2 in the second after Raikkonen and McLaren spoiled their party. I'm really getting worried about the pace of Kimi's car. Can he actually pull off two wins in a row?

Anyway, after both Iron Chef and F1 finished, I fixed my music files, burned another CD, and went on a senti soundtrip.

It made me think about HER. I have no idea what exactly is going on between us, but I'm afraid that itself might be THE answer already. What is she feeling? Is she even feeling anything for me? Should I approach her? Or should I just shut up about it? I'm getting confused already. I want to know if I still have a chance. Or should I just read the signs and move on already? So many questions, yet no answers. Love hurts, bigtime.

But that's life for you. Oh well... Got to go for now.

Forza!
