The long and winding journey...

Am I asking too much?

Apparently, school hasn't changed much since I was gone. (But hey, it's only been a week!) The first thing I get asked is, "What are YOU doing here?" That got asked n times and they all got the same response. "Wala lang. :)" Yup, and that was apparent because all I did there was go around with friends.

I miss playing billiards, and I got my chance today. In the end, my match with Popoy ended with a draw, 2-2. And to think I was a 9-ball away from a 3-1 win! O well... :D Other than that, I also surfed the Net at a shop and ate lunch at McDo before their adjustment started in the PM.

But during that whole afternoon of sitting and talking and sitting again and talking again, there's this experience that stands out. I bought a bottle of mineral water (It was friggin' hot this afternoon, no?) and I was looking for a place where I could throw the plastic that sealed the bottle. I was too lazy to go through the (adjusting) crowd to find the nearest trash can there, so I went to the guard at the Conservatory exit. I asked him if his outpost had a trash can where I could throw my trash. He told me he didn't have one, and asked me what I was going to throw anyway. So he looked at the small seal in my hand, and ended up telling me...

"Dyan na lang, o." And the guard was pointing at the gutter outside. Pretty surprised he actually suggested that place, I just decided to say thanks and go to the farther South Gate (which was much less crowded) to throw my trash there. Looking back now, I'm really wondering why he suggested that place. Force of habit, maybe? But as a security guard, shouldn't he be a role model by suggesting a place with trash cans? OK, I'm not perfect. After all, I was too lazy to actually go to the trash cans at the nearby Conservatory. But that doesn't change the guard's responsibility as a role model, right? Or am I just being too idealistic here?

Other than that, it's been one of those lazy weekdays again (which I'm running out of... School starts on Monday already!) Oh yeah, just finished watching the DLSU-UE game a while ago. The Alma Mater duly took its 6th win a row... by 20 points! We are looking very solid indeed for the Final Four. Can we take that championship again! (Wishing and hoping... :D) I'm also pretty excited for tomorrow. It's Formula 1 time again and the start of the Italian GP weekend! I'm hoping Ferrari can take a win at their home... just to a prove a point to the rest, especially McLaren. ;)

Anyhows, that's all there is for the moment, folks!

Forza! :D
